Armed Forces Volunteer / Operations Roles
Check-in / Registration Desk → Welcome participants, confirm waivers, hand out wristbands.
Team Staging / Line-up Coordinator → Make sure teams are in the right order before their pull.
Pull Zone Safety Spotters → Watch for safety issues on the rope line and keep the pull area clear.
Timekeepers / Judges → Record pull times, verify results. UW Team
Emcee Support / Announcer Assistant → Keep the schedule flowing, feed info to the announcer.
Crowd Management / Ushers → Guide spectators to viewing areas, answer questions.
Hospitality Crew → Provide water/snacks for volunteers & participants
Set-up Crew → Tables, tents, signage, rope barriers.
Tear-down Crew → Pack up after event.
Parking / Traffic Flow → Direct teams and spectators where to park.
First Aid Support (if you don’t already have EMTs onsite — at least one trained person + kit).
Or any open opportunity to assist during the event as needed

- Mascot Handler → Escort mascot, help with breaks.
- VIP Liaison → If sponsors, special guests, or media are attending.
- Voyageurs Teams Liaison → Specific point of contact for that group.
